Blog Etiquette for Ms. Heiss' YA Lit Unit

Blogs can be a fun way to think about what you've been reading. Here are some basic guidelines for posting on a blog:

• Use appropriate language. No profanity or personal attacks.
• Identify the book and title you are discussing.
• List your first name only to receive credit for your responses. Do not give out personal information such as your name, email, telephone number, or location.
• Responding to each other's posts is what makes blogs interesting. You may disagree with what the person is saying, but do so with respect.

Individual responses are graded on a 10 point scale: 10 point responses will answer one of the questions posed completely, use standard conventions of English, give specific examples from your text, and show that you have given the question some critical thought.
